A NEW APPROACH TO PHYSICAL FIT, USING 3-D TECHNOLOGY IS PROVING TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE THAN THE TRADITIONAL APPROACH

Physical fit describes a method in which fragmented body parts are put up back together to determine if these pieces were a whole and as to present in a court as potential evidence, the traditional method involves the evidence to be touched by human hands which incurs possible damage to it or even to the person handling it, in case the fragments are sharp objects. Forensic scientists at the University of Portsmouth have devised a way to circumvent the involvement of human touch while handling such fragile evidence, the suggestion is to use 3-D technology for the physical fit which will prove to be more effective, clean and comprehensible to the jury at the time of presenting.
